Community Connections: City Chambers Tour

We got the underground to Buchanan Street and arrived for an 11am private tour. A young man took the tour and explained all the history of the city chambers. There was a plaque unveiled for the Queen’s visit in 2002. We went into the court and saw where the lord provost sat and all the people. The building overlooked the whole of George Square.

We toured for about an hour and a half and then had lunch in George Square. It was really good.

I have been on other trips with Community Connections. We went to see a choir at Christmas time and other things. It is good to get out and it gives you knowledge about the things we see. It shows you all about the culture of Glasgow. There is plenty to see in Glasgow, I am going to suggest we visit Kelvingrove Museum.
