I met Emily the day before the AGM then the following day at the actual AGM where the new board was being elected, I told everyone I had been to the beach that morning.
At the AGM i met other board members face to face for the first time which was nice, I told them about the situation at Flourish & the funding crisis in our country I then asked them about their clubhouses.
On the first day of the conference I sadly missed the Minister for health speech but it was a nice welcome from Finland & Emily & Joel, I also heard some testimonies from Helsinki clubhouse members plus a brief history of how they formed- They started their first clubhouse in 1997 (same as Flourish).
I listened to a sports person talking about independence & interdependence then I had a break, we then had lunch (salmon) after a panel of 6 chatted about the theme of networking, we then had coffee & after a group of us visited Clubhouse Helsinki..
I will share some pictures here.
Day 2 of the conference & the speakers were explaining about Ai and the way it can be utilised in a clubhouse setting to help promote the good that we do, we then had a talk about climate anxiety, We had a break for Lunch then after there was a great talk about a very successful clubhouse based at Lunds university with a great story from a member there on how she was helped through her struggles to go on to graduate. followed by research information &:stats from clubhouses around the world,
At 2.30pm we had our scheduled activities with mine being presented by Nina who was the person who designed the annual magazine, it was very insightful as the topic was centre around their young adults groups & initiatives.
At 6pm we had a state banquet in the Hotel Presidentti where I was supported by my moomin friend that I recently purchased.
It was a long hard day and when the band started I couldn't dance so I left.
The last day n it was very interesting, we had a chat about howspaces e-clubhouse, I had to take a break n took my med and phoned Annie my coworker & after Lunch we listened to a panel of mostly members discussing equity in the clubhouse & what it means to them.
My activity at 2.30pm was learning more about howspaces as I thought a virtual clubhouse could be handy in the event of another pandemic.
I went a walk after n there was a band called sweet fork, the lead singer was very good, I'd recommend them.
