Flourish House is now open for business as usual after the festive period.
The Healthy Weight Management group starts back on Thursday the 12th Jan for 20weeks. Flourish House is pleased to announce we have received a donation from the Bank of Scotland to fund our Welfare Rights worker. On Thursday the 20th October 2011, MSP Sandra White came to the Clubhouse to present us with our cheque. We are very greatful for this donation, which is having a really positive impact on the members and staff of the Clubhouse. I.C.C.D. (International Centre for Clubhouse Development) held an International Conference in Stockholm from the 9th to 15th July 2011. Flourish House sent one staff member and one member along as delegates. They really enjoyed this beneficial experience and are at the moment preparing a report to feedback to us in November. For further information about this conference, please check out the ICCD website: The Admin Unit are now working on the February edition of the Flourish Times. The Admin Unit work on the Flourish Times on a Monday and Friday afternoon. We are always very greatful for member contributions, so please come and get involved. | |

24th Feb: Games Night.
9th March: Meal Out at Istanbul on Dundas Street.
23rd March: Film Night.

New Sights Literacy Group As part of the New Sights Group, Flourish House has been running a baking group every Thursday afternoon from 2pm - 4pm. It is a fun and exciting way of developing your numeracy skills - learning all about measurements, conversions, budgeting, cooking times, profit making and much more. The group met up recently and are discussing ways to promote the work that they do, through this website and our monthly newsletter and Bulletin. The group are also focusing now on creating a recipe book. If you would like to join the baking group or find out a bit more about it, please speak to Karen.
